The LoZ series has been around since the NES all the way to nowadays. So it's less than surprising to see a new game to add to the LoZ powerhouse this year. In 2010's E3 event the first trailer was announce and shown. To me it seems alot more cartoony than the other games with the exception of the Windwaker type games.
Not to say it's going to be a bad addition to the massive amount of games that carry the LoZ title. I'm sure that it will have many good if not great features that many many people will adore.
The game is to be released sometime in 2011 after the release of the new and improved version of LoZ: Ocarina of Time for the 3DS which in turn will be released at E3 2011.
The game LoZ: Ocarina of Time has been argued as the best game of the many Zelda's that are out there, and Nintendo seems to have agreed with the massive amount of fans raving about it still after 13 years after it's original release in 1998, because at E3 2011 the new and improved version of the loved game comes to the Nintendo hand held console that has yet to come out until E3 it's self. Which is the 3DS. A revolutionary device that alows games to be played in 3D but without the glasses!
